Kajal graduated from Guy's, King's & St. Thomas' Dental Institute, King's College London with honours. Following graduation, Kajal worked in general practice and held a part-time clinical teaching post at King's College Dental Institute within the Restorative Dentistry department.

Kajal was subsequently awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties from The Royal College of Surgeons of England. During her time at the hospital, Kajal cemented her love for endodontics (root canal treatment), much led her to undertake an MSc in Endodontic Practice from the Queen Mary University of London, which she completed with a Distinction.

Since having children, Kajal works part time at One the Gallery and is also a visiting lecturer at the Queen Mary University of London where she teaches post-graduate MSc students.

Kajal keeps abreast with the latest developments and is an active member of the British Endodontic Society and Prestigious Langham Endodontic Society. Kajal's research interests lie in the outcomes of Endodontic Treatment and the use of Cone Beam Computed Tomography to assess the risk of endodontic treatment. Kajal has published a paper on this topic in the Journal of Clinical Oral Investigations.
